The TNM DS2000 series are digital storage oscilloscopes, using PC and its monitor to display waveforms. All standard oscilloscope functions are available in the Windows program supplied. Its operation is just like a normal oscilloscope with the difference that most operations can be done using the mouse & keyboard. There are softwares features like automatic calculation of waveform parameters like : True RMS, Peak to Peak voltage , average voltage and frequency of input signals. Apart from being used as an oscilloscope , the unit can also be used as an advanced Spectrum Analyzer which is equipped with markers for measurement of peaks in dBV or Vrms units , real-time calculator of fundamental frequency and harmonics and Total Harmonic Distortion. Any waveform on the screen can be stored in Bitmap or Text format so that it may be later retrieved for use in documentation or for comparison to other waveforms or using saved data in Mathlab , Electronic WorkBench or other softwares. Also you can print waveforms and spectrum analysis and a report of calculations with any printer. The program is compatible with Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Scope connection is through the computer's parallel port, the scope is completely Optically Isolated from the PC , for user safety and better signal to noise ratio. |
